For years, I’ve been awaiting someone to arrive thoroughly clean about co-parenting.

Celebrities and social media marketing will have us accept it’s effortless, actually pleasurable, and I’m sick and tired of adding to that narrative. It’s untrue. As a co-parenter and constant social networking over-sharer, I’m accountable for perpetuating the notion that anybody can seamlessly transition from a couple to co-parents with sophistication, dignity and ease.

Yes. There’s been happier moments in my own co-parenting quest where that believed correct, but those moments are not nearly all my experience. Shared families holidays and regular meal schedules didn’t result without endless negotiations and fuzzy traces as you go along.

Therefore, here we get, I’ll state the point that no body else desires to state: Co-parenting sucks.
